Please do not contact the recruiter directly.The Morningstar DBRS U.S. RMBS team is seeking a Senior Analyst to support the analysis and assignment of credit ratings for U.S. residential mortgage‐backed securities (RMBS). This role offers the opportunity to deepen your structured finance expertise, work closely with senior analysts, and interact with external market participants in a collaborative and analytical environment.The ideal candidate brings strong quantitative skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with structured finance or mortgage‐related products.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Analytical WorkConduct RMBS transaction analysis, including assessment of collateral characteristics, deal structures, credit enhancement levels, and legal frameworks.Identify and focus on key credit issues during the new‐issue rating process.Review and evaluate banker cash‐flow model outputs, providing feedback on structural assumptions.Committee & Internal CollaborationServe as a co‐lead or back‐up analyst on selected transactions.Present analytical findings to rating committees with clarity and confidence.Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure accurate and consistent application of criteria.Modeling & MethodologyContribute to the enhancement of structured finance criteria, models, and analytical tools.Perform sensitivities, transaction comparisons, and stress‐testing tasks under the guidance of senior team members.Research & PublicationsProduce and publish market updates, newsletters, or concise commentary with minimal supervision.External EngagementParticipate in meetings with bankers, issuers, investors, and other market participants to discuss transaction details and analytical considerations.Represent the team professionally in all client‐facing interactions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, economics, math, engineering, computer science, or a related field.2+ years of experience in structured finance, securitization, banking, mortgage finance, or a relevant analytical role.Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, with excellent attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office applications.Organized, deadline‐driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.About UsMorningstar DBRS is a leading provider of independent rating services and opinions for corporate and sovereign entities, financial institutions, and project and structured finance instruments globally.
