The goal is that through treatment and rehabilitation, the facility will help prepare incarcerated women to re-enter their community with more skills and confidence than when they arrived.\n\nRole Overview:\nAs a Clerical Assistant at the Madison Correctional Facility, you will be responsible for all duties and responsibilities associated with the facility packet room, record keeping, electronic filing, document archiving, and classification notifications. Individuals with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks are highly sought after and will be the most successful in this position. The position will work closely with other support staff in completing facility-required goals and tasks and will be an integral member of a successful and efficient team.\n\nSalary Statement:\nThe salary for this position traditionally starts at $27,638.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.\n\nA Day in the Life:\nThe essential functions of this role are as follows:\nSupports the daily operations of an organization by performing general office tasks\nGreets visitors and directs them to the appropriate person according to their needs.\nAnswers telephones and gives information to callers, take messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.\nOpens, sorts, and routes incoming mail and correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.\nOperates office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.\nAccurately maintains and organizes office files.\nDelivers messages and run errands.\nMaintains inventory, orders, and distributes supplies.\nCompletes tasks or projects assigned by supervisor in a timely manner.\nThe job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
