In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, moving, tracking, and shipping materials while ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys working with a team, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and operational excellence.\n\nShift - Monday through Friday - 9am to 5.30pm\n\nThis position requires flexibility to work and train at both Ellison warehouse locations, which are located approximately one mile apart.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nWarehouse Operations\nReceive, inspect, count, label, and stock incoming materials.\nOperate RF scanning equipment to accurately track inventory movements.\nLoad and unload trucks and complete all required shipping and receiving documentation.\nPull, stage, package, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.\nStock inventory in designated warehouse locations and maintain inventory accuracy.\nPerform cycle counts and support inventory control activities.\nIdentify, report, and resolve inventory discrepancies.\nProduction Support\nDeliver raw materials to production lines to support continuous operations.\nSet up production lines based on production schedules.\nMaintain proper FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory rotation.\nCreate and print required labels for received materials.\nManage work-in-process (WIP) and non-conforming materials according to established procedures.\nReturn unused materials to inventory and accurately record transactions in the ERP system.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company policies, food safety requirements, GMPs, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.\nAttend and participate in pre-shift production meetings.\nConduct routine inspections of material-handling equipment before use.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nImmediately report food safety, quality, or workplace safety concerns.\nTeam Support\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.\nAssist with training newly hired employees as needed.\nSupport other production and warehouse functions as business needs require.\nQualifications\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to understand, read, write, and speak English sufficiently to follow safety instructions, policies, and work procedures.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.\nMinimum of 2 years of RF scanner (RF gun) experience.\nMinimum of 2 years of forklift experience, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts.\nBasic computer skills and experience entering transactions into inventory or ERP systems.\nAbility to accurately perform basic math calculations including counting, addition, and subtraction.\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPhysical Requirements\nRegular standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, and kneeling.\nAbility to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.\nOccasional climbing or balancing.\nAbility to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and loud noise levels.\nAbility to safely work around forklifts and warehouse equipment.\nMust have adequate vision and hearing, with or without corrective devices, to perform essential job functions.\nEquipment Used\nRF Scanners\nUtility Knife\nShrink Wrapper\nSit-Down Forklift\nStand-Up Forklift\nERP/Inventory Management Systems\nWhat Makes You Successful\n\nAt Ellison Bakery, we value team members who demonstrate:\n\nCollaboration\nCustomer Focus\nDrive for Results\nIntegrity & Trust\nPositive Peer Relationships\nAbility to Motivate and Support Others\nCommitment to Continuous Learning and Development\nWhy Join Ellison Bakery?\n\nYou'll be part of a dedicated team that takes pride in producing quality products in a safe and collaborative environment.
