In this role you will be responsible for\ncoordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities to ensure the project is\ndelivered safely, on time, and within budget. You’ll work across multidisciplinary teams and play a\nkey role through design, construction and commissioning.\n\nIn your role as Project Engineer, you will be part of the Project Delivery team reporting to VP\nProject Delivery with a focus on supporting delivery of the CPF during which, you will report to the\nCPF Project Manager for the SWA Project\nThis is a Hybrid position based in a Corporate office environment in Houston, TX. Routine\ncollaboration across departments and project/field offices is required as well as periodic travel to\nfield sites, sometimes in remote locations.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSupport and assist in the development and management of the overall project execution\nplan, including scope, schedule, budget, resources and risk strategies.\nSupport the Project Manager and Engineering Manager in leading development of the\nCPF through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and handover to\noperations.\nUnderstand and implement established project objectives, and deliverables, in support of\nproject success criteria, and alignment with business objectives.\nSupport project governance, reporting structures, and communication protocols.\nSupport management of contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring\nadherence to contractual obligations.\n\nEnsure adherence to all project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory\nrequirements for areas of project responsibility.\n\nManage project risks, issues, and changes effectively, building and maintaining mitigation\nplans.\n\nCommunicate effectively with the Standard Lithium team, partners, service providers and\nother project stakeholders.\n\nMonitor project progress against baseline schedule and budget and support Project\nServices with project reporting requirements.\n\nChampion a strong culture of safety and compliance, ensuring all project activities comply\nwith Company policies and industry best practices.\n\nParticipate in deliverable reviews, project safety reviews and constructability reviews.\nPerform additional activities as may be reasonably required by SWA project management\nteam.\n\nREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or related discipline);\nP.Eng. or eligibility preferred.\nMinimum 10 years’ experience in project engineering, with a strong focus within lithium or\nalternatively mineral processing operations, and/or water treatment or oil and gas\nexperience.\nProven track record delivering brownfield and greenfield projects from design through\ncommissioning.\nUnderstanding of lithium processing technologies (e.g., spodumene conversion, brine\nprocessing, refining) is desirable.\nStrong knowledge of process design, equipment selection and plant optimization.\nExperience in working with multidisciplinary teams, EPC/EPCM contractors, and vendors.\nDeep understanding of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost\ncontrol, and risk management.\n\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound technical\ndecisions under pressure.\nWHY JOIN US\nThis is an opportunity to contribute to the development of a new critical mineral value chain in the\nUS.
