Together, we advance your career.\r\nTHE ROLE\r\nIn this high-profile role, as Senior Engineering Program Manager, you will lead a multi-national, multi-discipline engineering team responsible for key engineering initiatives from concept to execution for next generation AMD client platform solutions.\r\nTHE PERSON\r\nThe right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs, from Concept through Customer Ship, utilizing large, matrixed teams to plan and execute system level products. You will have a deep understanding of the technical challenges related to computing system solutions, which includes the interaction of silicon, platform, firmware and software elements. You are energized by working in a fast-paced technical organization and multi-site environment. You like to make a difference in the industry and are passionate about collaborating with business and engineering teams and our customers to find unique solutions to tough problems.\r\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\r\n\r\nThe System Engineering Program Manager owns planning and driving the execution of platform-solution engineering functions to enable best in class customer solutions\r\nDrives alignment between AMD business unit product deliverables and customer platforms to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality throughout the product lifecycle\r\nEngages with technical and business leadership teams to understand and document program scope, establish integrated schedules, assess and manage program progress, risks, mitigation, and manage resource & budget plans. Manage end to end validation and platform execution.\r\nRepresents the Client Systems Engineering organization in corporate planning and execution forums, including presentations to Senior VP's and executive staff.\r\nSupports the customer-facing engineering and business teams to set product maturity and schedule expectations, oversee the development and distribution of documented product collateral, and resolve issues.\r\nDevelops and shares best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges\r\nEngages with geographically distributed technical teams, works collaboratively and coordinates the activities.\r\n\r\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\r\n\r\nHas driven product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem. Specific experience with x86 SOC products, firmware and PC industry suppliers/OEMs is preferred.\r\nBreadth knowledge of x86 CPU/SoC/Chipset/Graphics architecture, firmware and experience in functional, electrical, power-performance or security pre- and post- silicon validation.\r\nDemonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and to lead and manage technical teams\r\nProblem solving capability with confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs and present solution options to executive leadership\r\nAbility to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations\r\nSkilled in interfacing with customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects\r\nAbility to understand and extract action plans from complex technical discussions and translate into crisp messaging tailored for varied targeted audiences\r\nAbility to nimbly address business and technical changes throughout the program lifecycle both from an internal and customer perspective\r\nFamiliarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and long-range planning\r\nExcellent written and verbal communication and executive level presentation skills\r\nAnalytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented\r\nSeasoned in leveraging MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams or Confluence for clear communications and coordination of work.\r\nFamiliarity with JAMA, JIRA and similar Systems Engineering requirements management and defect tracking tools.\r\nExperience with Agile software and project development methodologies preferred\r\nProactive with demonstrated creative, situational and critical thinking problem solving.\r\nAbility to network quickly and independently to align resources towards a common goal.\r\nAbility to support limited domestic and international travel\r\n>10 Years Program Management Experience, and >15 years overall relevant experience in Semiconductor Industry - specifically New Product Development or Introduction\r\n\r\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS\r\n\r\nBachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering\r\nMasters in Business Administration or PMI PMP Certification is a plus.\r\n\r\nLOCATION: Austin\r\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\r\nLI-CS1\r\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\r\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
