Texas Department of Transportation will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\nVulnerability Remediation Coordination\r\nReview, triage, and manage vulnerability remediation assignments within ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace.\r\nCoordinate remediation efforts for vulnerabilities that cannot be addressed through normal patch cycles (e.g., emergency, high-risk CVEs, exceptions, or special remediation scenarios).\r\nServe as the central point of coordination between Server Operations, Security (CSOC), and other impacted teams throughout the remediation lifecycle.\r\nTrack remediation status, dependencies, and outstanding actions to ensure vulnerabilities progress to closure in accordance with policy and risk priorities.\r\nEnsure remediation activities align with the Vulnerability Remediation Process and supporting work instructions.\r\nServiceNow & IT Remediation Workspace\r\nCreate, manage, and update:\r\nVulnerability Remediation Tasks (VUL)\r\nAssociated Change Requests\r\nRelated Configuration Items (CIs)\r\nEnsure accurate documentation of remediation plans, implementation steps, validation outcomes, and rollback plans within ServiceNow records.\r\nValidate that vulnerability remediation tasks meet ServiceNow process requirements and audit expectations before change submission.\r\nCoordinate remediation sequencing across multiple server platforms and support teams using ServiceNow workflows and assignment rules.\r\nChange Management & CAB Presentation\r\nPrepare and submit Normal and Standard Change Requests for vulnerability remediation activities.\r\nPresent vulnerability remediation changes to CAB, clearly articulating:\r\nSecurity risk and urgency\r\nScope and impacted systems\r\nRemediation approach\r\nTesting and validation plans\r\nRollback and risk mitigation measures\r\nAddress CAB questions and coordinate follow up actions as needed to secure approval.\r\nEnsure approved changes are scheduled, communicated, and implemented in alignment with change windows and operational constraints.\r\nCross Platform Server Support\r\nCoordinate vulnerability remediation across\r\nWindows Server environments\r\nLinux Server environments (RHEL)\r\nCitrix server platforms\r\nWork with platform SMEs to understand remediation requirements and constraints without directly executing patching activities.\r\nEnsure consistent remediation tracking and reporting across heterogeneous server platforms.\r\nOrganization, Tracking & Reporting\r\nMaintain detailed tracking of\r\nOutstanding vulnerabilities\r\nChange approvals\r\nImplementation status\r\nValidation and closure evidence\r\nSupport audit, compliance, and leadership reporting with accurate, up to date remediation metrics and status summaries.\r\nIdentify process gaps, bottlenecks, or recurring issues and recommend improvements to remediation and change workflows.\r\nII.
