Tutor Partners’ market advantage is based in its commitment to accelerated learning and academic excellence through a social-emotional development approach.\nOur goal is to provide comprehensive support to children and families through our world-class tutoring, academic coaching, and parent coaching programs.\nWe offer:\nCompetitive pay & supportive coaching\nReal opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of children and families\nDuties:\n- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in various subjects, including but not limited to discrete math, differential equations, biochemistry, calculus and statistics.\n- Create personalized lesson plans and instructional materials based on the individual needs and learning styles of each student.\n- Assist students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.\n- Utilize effective teaching strategies to explain complex concepts and ensure student comprehension.\n- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to promote academic growth.\n- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective learning strategies.\nQualifications:\n- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.\n- Experience working with children in a childcare or classroom setting.\n- Special education background or experience is highly preferred.\n- Strong knowledge of the subjects being tutored, including discrete math, differential equations, biochemistry, and statistics.\n- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.\n- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students of all ages and abilities.\n- Knowledge of physiology is a plus.\n- Familiarity with machine learning concepts is a plus.\nNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
