This position is based in Arcadia, CA in support of the Foothill-Arcadia location. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the contract, facility, and safety of personnel and passengers, customer service and managing the financials.\r\nTransdev maintains a drug-free workplace.\r\nCompensation\r\nCompetitive compensation package of $125,000 - $150,000\r\nBenefits\r\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\r\nSick days: 5 days\r\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\r\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\r\nBenefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nDirects daily operations management.\r\nProvides strategic planning and direction to the operations staff.\r\nManages contract compliance.\r\nHas shared responsibility for scheduling, performance evaluation, and staffing responsibilities for the facility's management staff.\r\nOther duties as required.\r\nQualifications\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED required\r\nBachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation or related field preferred.\r\n5+7 years of supervisory or management-level experience in the passenger transportation industry\r\nKnowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws\r\nThorough knowledge of laws, ordinances, and regulations underlying the transit operation\r\nThorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system's staff and operational departments\r\nAbility to deal with state and local government\r\nAbility to manage cost control and financial/budget experience, handling multiple locations\r\nWorking knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs\r\nStrong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability to influence people at all levels of the organization\r\nAbility to organize and perform work efficiently; strong attention to details\r\nAbility to navigate Labor Relations issues and work effectively with union partners, including labor grievances and negotiations.\r\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\r\nSuccessfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.\r\nThe employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.\r\nWork environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.\r\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
