IBL Energy Ltd is a company in the management, advisory and export of Energy solutions in Mauritius and Africa.Job SummaryThe O&M Technical Officer is responsible for the hands-on execution of operations and maintenance activities across IBL Energy's portfolio, including solar PV plants, EV charging infrastructure, and other energy systems.The role is primarily site-based, supporting inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring to ensure assets operate safely, efficiently, and at optimal performance levels.The Technical Officer reports to the O&M Executive and plays a key role in delivering reliable field operations and high service quality.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Operations & InspectionsConduct routine inspections of PV systems, EV chargers, and associated equipmentExecute preventive maintenance tasks according to maintenance schedulesEnsure proper housekeeping and site conditionsMaintenance & TroubleshootingPerform corrective maintenance and repair of faulty equipmentDiagnose system issuesReplace defective components and support equipment restorationLiaise with suppliers/manufacturers for technical troubleshootingPerformance MonitoringCollect and record operational data (energy, power, alarms, weather data)Support performance monitoring and identify abnormalitiesAssist in improving system performance and reducing downtimeMaintenance Execution SupportSupport the O&M Executive in planning and executing maintenance activitiesCoordinate with contractors and technicians onsiteEnsure tasks are completed within timelines and quality standardsStakeholder & Site CoordinationInterface with contractors, suppliers, and site stakeholdersSupport site visits, inspections, and auditsEscalate technical issues to O&M ExecutiveReporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and incidentsComplete maintenance reports and update logs (CMMS when implemented)Support preparation of performance and maintenance reports.Continuous Improvement & InnovationIdentify recurring faults and improvement opportunitiesContribute to lessons learned and process improvementsHealth, Safety & ComplianceFollow and enforce all HSE procedures on siteParticipate in safety inductions and toolbox talksEnsure compliance with safety and environmental standardsJob RequirementsDiploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, or related fieldsMinimum 2 - 4 years' experience in O&M (PV/energy systems preferred)Experience in solar PV systems and/or BESS / EV infrastructureStrong understanding of electrical systems and componentsAbility to read technical drawings, schematics, and manualsHands-on troubleshooting and repair capabilityExperience in site supervision and coordination of O&M worksStrong coordination and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple sites simultaneouslyWillingness to work onsite and travel across locationsValid driving license
