Lead, Processing
Provides floor leadership for Nazdar's Processing groups (Varnish, Utility, Easterday, and Hazardous Waste Disposal). Acts as a working lead as needed, supports training for new hires as directed by the Manufacturing Manager, and serves as backup for other leads.Responsibilities:Coordinate Processing or Packaging personnel as needed, to ensure production schedules are met.Provide direct leadership to assigned team members by assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and supporting operational needs.Act as a working lead when required, primarily supporting one manufacturing area while maintaining overall workflow continuity.Proactively identify, anticipate, and resolve bottlenecks within processing and packaging operations.Assist the Manufacturing Manager with UKG timekeeping, time-off approvals, and annual performance reviews for designated team members.Ensure all processing and packaging activities are performed in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, established Work Instructions, and Job Aids.Monitor equipment and machinery to verify proper operation and promptly report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or inoperable conditions.Promote and maintain a safe work environment through employee engagement and enforcement of all safety requirements, including PPE, safety glasses, grounding clips, steel-toe footwear, and other applicable safety standards.Perform all duties in accordance with established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.Assist in the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Manager.Required:A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production environment.A proven history of excellent performance both in work behaviors and results.Able to work and supervise during designated hours and departments as requested by Manufacturing Manager.Excellent communication skills, proven track record of leading, training, and mentoring individuals.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.Preferred:Previous supervisory experience (lead or supervisor) preferably in a production environment.Microsoft office experience: Outlook, Excel, and Word.Other system experience highly preferred M3, M1, and Red Zone.Courses in management or other business-related courses.A willingness and drive to improve/educate oneself.Physical Demands:to stand for long periods of timeto walk the full dayto bend to retrieve containers and packages.to constantly lift containers and packagesto climb ladders to retrieve containers and packages.Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
