These specially trained dogs sniff out contraband in many locations. K9 Handlers receive additional training to facilitate their duties.\nResponsibilities:\nPartnering with a trained Firearm/Explosive Detection Canine partner to conduct searches in/at assigned client sites, including corporate buildings, loading docks, delivery vehicles, open areas and/or other situations as needed.\nAssist and liaise effectively with the client's security manager, law enforcement agencies, security personnel, and local partners or their representatives.\nBe available for incident/emergency response duty, standby duty, and client demonstrations, which includes weekends, holidays, nights and overnights.\nContacting law enforcement in case of emergency.\nMaintain network with clients, using excellent customer service.\nPromote PFI services and culture.\nParticipate in client's evacuation procedures.\nRequirements:\nPrevious handler experience and/or education through certified school is required.\nQualified candidates will have also achieved one of the following:\n1 years Military service, preferably in a combat deployment\n1 years Military K9 handler role with full military handler course\n1 years Law enforcement role and completed an accredited Law Enforcement Academy (Municipal/State/Federal)\nMunicipal or federal correctional officer and attended a fulltime accredited\nLE/Corrections Academy (must have enforcement responsibilities)\nPreferred Certifications:\nUnarmed/Armed PILB work card.\nCan have own personal certified firearm/explosives canine.\nWilling to be on call status for schedule.\nOpen availability.\nOfficers must meet specific client needs/standards.\nExpected to be proficient in the use of: Radio, ASP Baton, Handcuffs, Basic Medical Supplies, Taser, Pepper Spray, and Duty Firearm\nActive CPR/AED Card (Desired).\nAt least 21 years of age.\nValid Driver’s License Required.\nReliable Personal Transportation.\nPass a comprehensive criminal background.\nPass PreEmployment Drug Test including Marijuana.\nAbility to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use various computer software, to include report writing systems, trespass documentation, and surveillance equipment.\nAble to lead and mentor other employees.\nProfessional appearance and demeanor; trimmed and professional beards are allowed.\nAble to effectively communicate in English (read, write, listen, speak).\nPay: $28.00 per hour\nProtective Force International – K9 Handler – Apply Now!\nAbout Protective Force International LLC\nPrevious security experience and a proven history of performance is a must to join the team at Protective Force International.
