Network Access Administrator Key Responsibilities Access Control Management: Own the configuration and maintenance of the 802.1X infrastructure across our global wired and wireless footprint. Identity Framework Validation: Manage and troubleshoot Secure Handshake Protocols (such as certificate-based and SIM-based authentication) to ensure seamless user onboarding. NAC Policy Design: Develop and test granular access policies within Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, or FortiNAC to automate VLAN assignment and threat containment. Trust & Security Lifecycle: Oversee the Certificate Authority (CA) integrations, managing the issuance and revocation of digital identities used for network entry. Persistence Layer Health: Monitor the performance and synchronization of the Distributed Session Databases that store active user states and permissions. Incident Forensics: Use packet inspection and Linux-based log analysis to diagnose failed authentication attempts and handshake timeouts. Technical Requirements Standard Mastery: Deep expertise in the 802.1X standard and its implementation in multi-vendor (Aruba, Juniper, Cisco) environments. Secure Handshake Expertise: Familiarity with various Authentication Frameworks (Certificate-based, Token-based, and Biometric integrations). Linux & Systems: Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix administration for managing backend policy engines. PKI & Encryption: Hands-on experience with OpenSSL and the management of Intermediate/Issuing CAs. Database Logic: Experience querying or maintaining High-Availability NoSQL environments to verify session integrity.
