This position plays a vital role in advancing critical mission objectives within a highly regulated and technically demanding environment.\n\nAs a trusted partner to government agencies and national laboratories, Omega Technical Services supports some of the nation's most complex and high-impact programs. Through these strategic collaborations, Omega contributes directly to the strength, security, and sustainability of the U.S. Nuclear Security Enterprise.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nPlan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.\n\nPrepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.\n\nDemonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems, water and waste systems, and equipment design.\n\nGenerate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.\n\nFamiliarity with computer aided drafting applications is required.\n\nEducation Requirements\n\nBachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 5 or more years’ experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering\n\nQualifications\n\nCandidate must be a U.S. Citizen.\n\nSatisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check.\n\nCandidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance.\n\nMust have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nPossession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred.\n\nPrevious DOE/NNSA work experience.\n\nWork Schedule\nShift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n\nBenefits\nCompetitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to grow your career.\n\nEqual Employment Opportunity Statement\nOmega Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
