Quality Control Administrative Assistant

Job Description SUMMARY:Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.Interact with branch-location personnel to serve as a liaison between them and overseas customers. This position provides information in response to external inquiries regarding products and services and handles and resolves complaints arising from these inquiries.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES, not all inclusive:• Confer with designated branch employees by telephone or in person to provide information about Supplier Surveys (parts manufactured overseas), Corrective Actions (parts manufactured overseas), and PPAPs (for parts manufactured overseas). PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is a standardized form of documentation.• Document information in the proper AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) format (standard forms used to document project status).• Maintain records of interactions and transactions, including details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.• Responsible for all record-keeping and document control related to this position.• File department documents as required.• Attend meetings as required.• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Assistant Quality and Plant Managers.QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:Two (2) year degree preferred but not required, and two (2) years of experience as an Administrative/Clerical Assistant; OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent with four (4) years of related experience.Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required. Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent active listening and critical thinking abilities.
