The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain end-to-end applications spanning Java/Spring Boot microservices on the back end and modern React-based interfaces on the front end, deployed to AWS within a RHEL environment. The role works alongside solutions architects, DevSecOps engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate operational requirements into production-ready capabilities, with an emphasis on security, scalability, and continuous delivery. As a hybrid position, there is an onsite requirement of one day per week.\r\nCore Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures on the back end and React, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS on the front end.\r\nBuild and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, applying Apache Camel for service orchestration and message routing across distributed components.\r\nDevelop and maintain data exchange and persistence layers using XML, JSON, and PostgreSQL (AWS RDS), ensuring data integrity, performance, and security.\r\nDeploy and operate workloads on AWS (EC2, S3, ECS, EBS, RDS, Lambda) running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, following federal security and compliance requirements.\r\nImplement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and automate build, test, and release pipelines through Git and Jenkins to support continuous integration and delivery.\r\nApply secure coding practices, perform code reviews, and remediate findings from static analysis, vulnerability scans, and security assessments.\r\nCollaborate with solutions architects, product owners, and government stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment to refine requirements, estimate effort, and deliver iterative releases.\r\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the full stack, including front-end responsiveness, API latency, and database query efficiency.\r\nProduce and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts, API specifications, deployment runbooks, and operations and maintenance procedures.\r\nSupport production deployments, incident response, and sustainment activities to ensure high availability of mission-critical systems.\r\nRequirements Must Be Able to Obtain Public Trust Level 6C\r\nSix (6) years of Information Assurance experience\r\nExperience with the following technologies: Java\r\nSpring Boot\r\nPython\r\nMicroservices\r\nXML\r\nJSON\r\nCamel\r\nGraphQL\r\nJavaScript\r\nReact\r\nHTML/CSS\r\nRHEL\r\nAWS (EC2, S3, ECS, EBS, RDS Postgres, Lambda)\r\nGit\r\nJenkins\r\nTerraform\r\nPreferred Additional Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.\r\nBenefits Xpect Solutions, LLC is a one-of-a-kind employer with a talented team that is cleared at various levels and is certified in dozens of industry-recognized certifications.
