Platform EngineerRequirements:Builds and operates the internal platforms that enable application teams to deliver software quickly and reliably implementing automation, self-service infrastructure, and robust CI/CD, observability, and security guardrails.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, operate, and continuously improve internal platforms that support rapid, reliable software delivery.Implement and maintain self-service infrastructure capabilities for development teams (e.g., standardized environments, templates, and tooling).Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable frequent, high-quality releases.Establish and manage observability capabilities (logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerts) to ensure system reliability and performance.Implement security and compliance guardrails within the platform (e.g., policy-as-code, secure defaults, access controls, validations).Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operations using Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting.Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams to understand their needs and translate them into platform features.Document standards, patterns, and runbooks, and support engineering teams in adopting platform capabilities.QualificationsRequiredExperience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related role building and operating shared platforms.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).Strong skills in automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and container/orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Experience implementing observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, OpenTelemetry).Understanding of security best practices and how to embed guardrails into platforms and pipelines (e.g., secrets management, policy-as-code, vulnerability scanning).Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, Go).Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a service-oriented mindset toward internal engineering teams.PreferredExperience designing and supporting self-service developer platforms or internal developer portals.Background with GitOps practices and tools (e.g., Argo CD, Flux).Experience in highly available, large-scale, or regulated environments.Relevant certifications in cloud, Kubernetes, or DevOps.About ApTask:ApTask is a leading global provider of workforce solutions and talent acquisition services, dedicated to shaping the future of work.
