The incumbent will lead efforts to analyze and reduce process variation, develop preventive controls and ensure quality standards are upheld. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Central Engineering, Product Management and other critical functional areas to deliver on key organizational objectives with a specific focus on process control and quality systems.\n“Your Skills Matter”\nWhat do you bring?\n· Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering with minimum 10 years of progressive Quality Assurance or Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment through permanent employment.\n· Must possess the ability to; (1) understand new concepts quickly; (2) determine the appropriate approach; (3) organize, schedule and coordinate work; and (4) communicate results or progress effectively.\n· Experience in PVC manufacturing process or equivalent education.\n· Lessons learned from previous hiring that we can learn from? Leadership & Motivated/Driven\n· Management experience in Quality Assurance or Process Engineering in a manufacturing environment.\n· Ability to identify & prioritize leading sources of process variation and implement sustainable solutions to achieve process control.\n· Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction, supplier relations and performance, leadership, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems and professional ethics.\n· Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of process control, data collection systems and data analysis.\n· Basic understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.\n· Ability to develop and implement quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, reporting and problem solving.\n· A thorough understanding of SPC, quality planning and quality improvement tools and techniques.\n· Strong Technical writing and verbal communication skills.\n· Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt strongly preferred.\n· Extremely proficient in statistical analysis of data with both Minitab and Excel.\n· Self-motivated and hands-on.\n· Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Word, Access, Project and PowerPoint.Why work for us?\nThrough the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
