CNC Machinist 4-Axis Haas Mill (Mastercam)

Millennium Power Service is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist with strong 4-axis milling and Mastercam programming experience to support precision manufacturing operations at our Westfield, MA facility.This position is ideal for a machinist who enjoys owning the entire process — from reviewing prints and programming to setup, prove-out, and producing high-quality finished parts. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems on the fly, and consistently deliver precision work in a fast-paced shop environment.What You’ll Be DoingProgram, set up, and operate 4-axis Haas CNC milling machinesBuild and modify programs using Mastercam softwarePerform complete machine setups including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and first-piece inspectionsInterpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirementsMachine precision components while maintaining close tolerances and quality standardsEdit programs and adjust machining parameters to improve performance and efficiencySelect appropriate tooling, inserts, holders, and work holding solutions for each projectInspect parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and bore gaugesTroubleshoot machining and programming issues to reduce downtime and improve production flowMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work areaQualifications5+ years of CNC machining experience preferredHands-on experience with 4-axis Haas milling machinesStrong Mastercam programming skills requiredAbility to independently complete setups and prove-outsComfortable machining to tight tolerancesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and GD&TStrong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and machining strategiesExperience using precision measuring equipmentSolid math and problem-solving abilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade school or machining certification is a plusPreferred BackgroundExperience machining stainless steel, alloy steel, or specialty materialsFamiliarity with Haas controls and post-processorsContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to optimize cycle times and reduce scrapScheduleMonday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PMOvertime and weekend hours available based on production needsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experience and skill levelPremium overtime and weekend pay opportunitiesMedical, dental, and vision coverageShort-term and long-term disability plansLife insurance and 401(k)Paid holidays and PTOStable work environment with long-term career potentialClean, organized, and safety-driven shopAt Millennium Power Services, we value craftsmanship, accountability, and teamwork.
