This role will require being in contact with the HQ team in Santa Clara, CA, for updates and project progress. Proven success with facility and systems design in the built environment, with experience in clean room, laboratories, advanced technology/semiconductor, biotech, pharma, or life sciences industries highly desirable.\n\nRequired experience with SKM: SKM is the leader in power systems analysis and design software for fault calculations, load flow, coordination, arc flash hazards, motor starting, transient stability, reliability, harmonics, grounding, cable pulling, and more. SKM software has been used in commercial, light and heavy industrial, institutional, utility, and petrochemical sites and facilities worldwide.\n\nExperience performing engineering tasks as an electrical design engineer from concept design through construction closeout, including development of construction drawings, specifications, calculations and cost estimates.\n\nExperience performing electrical service calculations, designing electrical distribution systems, designing lighting and lighting control systems, selecting and scheduling equipment.\n\nExperience surveying and assessing existing buildings and associated electrical systems to document existing conditions.\n\nExperience in construction administration (submittals, RFIs, construction site observations and documentation).\n\nWorking knowledge of National Electrical Code and International building and energy codes.\n\nFire alarm system design experience is a plus.\n\nTelecommunications system design experience is a plus.\n\nProduce electrical engineering drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.\n\nEdit and produce electrical engineering reports and specifications.\n\nParticipate in team coordination activities with other disciplines, sub-contractors, and Clients.\n\nAble and willing to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, fire retardant clothing, cut-resistant gloves, and other PPE as required per the requirements of clients’ safety policies when required.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\n\nMinimum of 5+ years U.S. based experience designing building electrical systems in the A/E and construction industry.\n\nStrongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.\n\nTakes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills (English).\n\nCollaborative team player who can work with a variety of software, projects, and other individuals.\n\nLocal candidates preferred. Will entertain relocation for candidates with directly related experience.\n\nAbility to provide legal U.S. work authorization documents required. Will consider U.S. domestic travelers and relocation.\n\nSalary\nSalary range for this role is $85K to $125K a year, depending on experience in the industry.\n\nBenefits\nArcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions.
