{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a5999543496ccfafd1dce93b","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a5999543496ccfafd1dce93b","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a5999543496ccfafd1dce93b","title":"Manufacturing Process Engineer","description":"Summary:\nThe main function of a manufacturing process engineer is to direct the development and/or improvements of manufacturing processes and equipment.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\nPropose and evaluate manufacturing process and equipment for assigned areas.\nMeet plant goals and standards in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\nCoordinate the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives.\nEvaluate expenditures for processes and/or equipment.\nProvide technical assistance and training for assigned plant operations.\nWorks closely with production and maintenance personnel and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects.\nAnalyze tooling and equipment and select proper steps for solution.\nCommunicate with internal and external business units.\nSupport plants in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness and Cost goals.\nSupport and implement the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.\n\nSkills:\nExpert knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.\nBasic knowledge of tooling processes.\nBasic knowledge of automotive industry processes.\nKnowledge in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nKnowledge with Lotus Notes or other email communication tool.\nAbility to partner with senior management to analyze and solve issues.\nAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills.\n\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline.\n10+ years of experience required.\n\nManager's Notes:\nEngineering shift support for manufacturing operations in transmission machining department for gear, case, valve body, and solenoid body machining operations\nCNC programming experience\nAbility to read and interpret technical prints and understand basic GD&T\n\nShifts:\nMon-Fri. Weekends 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.\nCandidate will be expected to work Saturdays and Sundays more often than none\nOff-shift support.
