Mechanic

Mechanic: Knowledge of diesel and gas engines Diagnostic testing on engines, interpreting the results Ability to read schematics Efficient and effective knowledge of service and repair procedures Effective collaboration, communication, and listening skills Preventative maintenance, including oil and other lubricant supplies for equipment Proper and safe handling of fuel and waste Ensure numerical, safety and company decals are affixed to each item Promotes safe practices and safety in the shop Uses and promotes use of personal protective equipment Field visits in the case of an emergency or breakdown Independent worker with critical thinking skills Order parts - utilizing cost efficient practices Notify customer and manager of any damages on rental return slips Tag equipment in for repairs Repaint equipment Start and ensure proper functionality of all equipment Safe and proper load securement Inspection of equipment Recommends to Manager: Safety, Environmental Issues, Equipment Replacement, Major Repairs Consistently wears clean and appropriate company attire Perform all other duties as required, assigned, or needed Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License Welding and Computer skills are a plus Benefits: Competitive pay Medical & Dental Insurance after 90 days 401K Schedule: Location: Portland, Oregon
