You’ll be responsible for building, shipping, and maintaining our React Native mobile applications in an AWS environment. You’ll collaborate closely with our Full Stack Project Lead, Back End Developer, and UI/UX Designer to deliver secure, performant, and emotionally engaging experiences.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and ship iOS and Android applications using React Native, ensuring seamless performance across devices.\nOwn the deployment process to the App Store and Google Play, including provisioning, compliance, and updates.\nCollaborate with the Full Stack Project Lead, Back End Developer, and UI/UX Designer to translate requirements into user-ready features.\nIntegrate with AWS services (e.g., Cognito, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB) for authentication, storage, and APIs.\nEnsure performance, scalability, and security of mobile apps within the AWS ecosystem.\nWrite clean, maintainable code with a focus on reusability, testing, and reliability.\nDebug, troubleshoot, and optimize mobile apps based on QA and user feedback.\nParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and best-practice improvements.\nWhat You’ll Bring\n3–6+ years experience in mobile app development, with at least one production app launched on both iOS and Android.\nStrong proficiency in React Native and its ecosystem (navigation, hooks, state management).\nExperience integrating and managing applications in an AWS environment.\nSolid understanding of mobile deployment workflows, certificates, and store submission guidelines.\nAbility to collaborate with designers and back end developers, ensuring smooth handoffs and shared understanding.\nFamiliarity with mobile-first design patterns and performance optimization.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to balance speed with code quality.\nNice to Have\nFamiliarity with multimedia handling (image/video upload, transcoding, playback).\nExperience with consumer SaaS products, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.\nKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile app deployment.\nInterest in privacy-first architecture and building software that prioritizes user trust.\nHow We Work\nFlexible hours with core overlap for collaboration.\nRemote-friendly, with preference for hybrid collaboration in Charleston, SC (work sessions with leadership, user tests, occasional shoots).\nWe welcome contractors, part-time, or full-time; contract-to-hire is an option.
