If you are interested in a challenge and a great working environment, apply today!\n\nWhat you will do:\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nThe specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:\nInstall, rebuild, configure, maintain, administer and document Unix/Linux systems, software, system related products, hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with established standards.\nCreate, document and implement repeatable processes to install, test, upgrade, maintain and patch system environments and software.\nTroubleshoot and resolve system-related incidents detected during monitoring, by other technical teams, or reported by users.\nReview Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts/Bulletins (IAVA/B) related to current operating environment and implement remediation plans.\nDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for routine and non-routine procedures that assist in the management and operation of the Linux Enterprise operating environments.\nPerform any required re-accreditation actions such as DISA STIG review, OS upgrades, vulnerability scan remediation, and document various required lists (PPSM, H/W, and S/W) during the normal accreditation cycle.\nRecommend changes to the government for improvement in the operating and/or security environment.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills are a must\n\nTo be successful, you should have:\n\nDesired Skills and Experience:\nAn active DoD Top Secret/SCI level of clearance (Desired)\nInformation Security/IT Background\nExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail\nStrong written communication skills including experience with reports and presentations for executive audiences\n\nRequired Skills and Experience:\nPossess an Active Secret clearance (Will have to qualify and maintain a TS/SCI)\nBachelor's degree with a minimum of 7 or more years of related work experience; additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\nA Current IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570-M Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ce or equivalent) or the ability to obtain within 30 days from date of offer of acceptance.\n6 or more years of demonstrated experience in administering and maintaining Linux systems and applications.\n6 or more years technical experience of installation, configuration, and security of server environments.\nExpert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) System Administrator and Network technologies and protocols\nExperience operating in virtual environments\nKnowledge of cloud architectures and solutions\nProven experience with applying various security standards (i.e. DISA STIGs, ACAS)\nProficiency in Docker container strategies, automated testing, and monitoring\nIt is JCS’ policy to promote equal employment opportunities and celebrate diversity.
