This position requires the ability to work flexible hours in Washington DC with as‑needed travel to Chantilly, VA (under 25%).\n\nWork Schedule is as follows:\n\nMonday thru Friday: 2PM-10:30PM\n\nPrimary Responsibilities\n\nPerforms the integration of new COTS/GOTS systems (network equipment, servers, workstations, etc) into the production environment, responsible for ensuring mission readiness.\n\nManages change controls for documentation within an IT Service Management Tool (ITSM) and Configuration Management database (CMDB) and performs corrective action on any discrepancies or findings.\n\nDevelops technical solutions and resolves complex user, computer, server, network, appliance, and application issues. Independently and consistently records, manages, and updates these solutions in a knowledge database and ticketing system.\n\nReviews data from a DoD Network Monitoring System. Reviews historical data and proactively audits systems to ensure they meet program requirements. Assesses and remediates risks and incidents.\n\nOnce trained on the program specific equipment, the candidate will be relied on as an expert in their AOR, and will be expected to analyze issues, make remediation recommendations to management, and subsequently carry out those remediation processes.\n\nAbility to create technical documentation (SOP's, KBA's, etc) to help junior staff members reduce escalation numbers.\n\nBasic Qualifications\n\nBS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. A High School diploma with an additional 2 years' relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\n\nInterim Top-Secret clearance is required with ability to obtain a Final Top Secret.\n\nExperienced with the following Windows Server administration tools: WSUS, Group Policy, Active Directory, RDP, DNS, DHCP.\n\nMid-to-High Level RHEL troubleshooting.\n\nLow-to-Mid Level Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022/2025 troubleshooting.\n\nGOTS/COTS application, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.\n\nIndustrial computer and Dell systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.\n\nTier 3 Systems Administrator support.\n\nThe candidate should be a proactive leader and team player with strong communication, management, analytical, and problem solving skills; proven ability to thrive in environments that constantly embraces new technology.\n\nAWS virtualization, networking configuration, and troubleshooting.\n\nDocker configuration and troubleshooting.\n\nDatabase installation, configuration, and troubleshooting (Postgre, MariaDB, etc.).\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nLifecycle management experience (PC Imaging&Disposition).\n\nKnowledge of Network Monitoring tool management such as OpManager, Solarwinds, PRTG.\n\nServiceNow On-Premise application and database server experience.\n\nExperience with virtualization.\n\nInfrastructure equipment troubleshooting such as Tripplite or Eaton UPS', Fiber and/or Ethernet installation/termination, and electronic testing and metering equipment.\n\nTicket tracking system experience (i.e. Remedy, ServiceNOW, SharePoint).\n\nPrior experience in a Network Operations Center environment or Tier 3 Helpdesk.\n\nBasic Juniper and Palo Alto Tier 1 troubleshooting experience.\n\nExperience with CMD/Terminal/PowerShell/other CLI\n\nCommitment to Non-Discrimination\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to sex, race, ethnicity, age, national origin, citizenship, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, family structure, marital status, ancestry, domestic partner status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran or military status, or any other basis prohibited by law.
