You will help identify performance regressions, analyze diagnostic data, and collaborate closely with development teams to ensure system stability and scalability.\nYou will work in a structured test environment where performance benchmarking, regression detection, and root cause analysis are part of daily operations. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, foundational computer science knowledge, and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings to engineers and stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nExecute SQL performance testing across new hardware and software releases\n\nIdentify, analyze, and document performance regressions\nConduct performance diagnostics using SQL tools and system metrics\nCollaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues\nDesign and support architecture components including software, hardware, and communication layers to meet enterprise system requirements\nEnsure systems comply with enterprise IT architecture standards and integration requirements\nEvaluate workflow, system design, and organizational processes to recommend performance improvements\nSupport compatibility validation within the common operating environment\nAuthor technical documentation related to test plans, diagnostics, and findings\nContribute to long-term performance validation initiatives\nProvide guidance or technical direction as needed within small project scopes\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field\n\n0–2 years of professional experience in software or database engineering\nStrong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems concepts)\nExposure to SQL performance testing, query optimization, or database diagnostics\nProgramming or scripting experience in C, C#, or PowerShell\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to clearly explain technical concepts and findings\nExperience working in structured test or validation environments\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to performance benchmarking tools or regression detection methodologies\n\nUnderstanding of database engine internals and query execution plans\nExperience analyzing system performance metrics (CPU, memory, I/O)\nExperience contributing to technical planning or small solution design efforts\nPrior experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams\nAdvanced degree (MBA or related technical master's degree)\nSalary Range\nAt Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $28.85 to $33.65/ HR. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
