The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading and delivering electrical power systems on projects such as water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, municipal systems, process facilities, power generation, power distribution, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).\n\nPreferred Montana Locations: Billings, Bozeman, Great Falls, or Kalispell, MT\n\nResponsibilities\n\nBe a critical part of AE2S culture to provide extreme client service\n\nProvide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding, and construction administration\n\nProject Management, including managing performance of assigned project team members\n\nMaintain existing client relationships and lead pursuits to expand relationships with clients in the region\n\nIdentify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities\n\nProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project work\n\nMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignments\n\nCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings\n\nDevelop new electrical markets in the region, client relationships, etc.\n\nQualifications\nBasic Requirements\n\nBachelor's degree in electrical engineering\n\n5+ years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater, power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, substation, renewable energies, or similar industrial facility areas\n\nRegistration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills\n\nAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development\n\nAll applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatment\n\nRenewable energy experience (such as Wind/Solar/Battery Banks/Etc.)\n\nKnowledge of instrumentation and control systems.\n\nSubstation design and medium voltage experience\n\nKnowledge of project financials\n\nPhysical Qualifications\n\nAbility to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain\n\nAbility to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time\n\nOccasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist\n\nOccasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight\n\nMay require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds\n\nAbility to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.\n\nMay be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear\n\nMay require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload\n\nMay be required to travel to off‑site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town\n\nElevate Your Career with AE2S – Award-Winning Culture and Unmatched Benefits\nAdvanced Engineering and Environmental Services (AE2S) is an award-winning, specialized civil/environmental engineering consulting firm that provides professional services and a unique brand of extreme client service.
