Job description:Kelly Box & Packaging is seeking a 2nd Shift Working Production Supervisor. Kelly Box is a financially sound organization with a well- established reputation for innovation and quality. This position is responsible for leading a small team of production personnel and activities in a manufacturing process that produces and ships, on-time, high quality corrugated products. This is a "hands-on" position. This position will be expected to operate corrugated machines as well a forklift.Essential Functions:Support continuous safety and improvement efforts to ensure a safe work environmentLearn to setup, operate and troubleshoot a variety of corrugated production equipmentLeading the production team to meet production and efficiency goalsInterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsEncouraging staff to operate with LEAN manufacturing standardsEnsure quality production that meets specific customer requirementsMUST be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, simple fractions, and decimals. Must be able to use a tape measure, caliper and other tools in order to verify conformance of product specifications.Must be proficient at following assembly instructions and organizing work stationsGood computer skills/data entry/reportingGreat communication skills neededPrevious forklift experience a plusPrevious machine experience requiredPrevious experience leading a team requiredMust be able to pass a background check and drug screenMUST be able to work 2nd shift hours - 3:30pm-12:00am, Monday-Friday.Job-Location: 6916 Nelson Rd., Fort Wayne, IN 46803.Also must be willing to work occasional overtime and off-shifts as necessary.Kelly Box offers its employees excellent benefits, including medical, dental, Vision, life insurance, 401k, & tuition reimbursement.
