Estimating services include feasibility studies, budgets from conceptual design to bidding, comparative studies, value engineering and presentation of the same to both internal and external clients. The Preconstruction Manager is responsible for the accuracy of the estimate and personification of The HITT Way.\nResponsibilities\nProviding complete suite of estimating services described above with minimal oversight\nEstimating a variety of building types\nManaging multiple projects and deadlines, with ability to prioritize and complete tasks\nPresenting technical and financial information to stakeholders, including changes from previously presented information\nThe majority of the work is completed in an office environment. Visits to jobsites are as necessary. Due to conditions on a construction site, employees are required to wear safety equipment per company policy.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field, required\nFive (5) to seven (7) years’ of related work experience, with two (2) of those years in estimating required\nThe Preconstruction Manager should possess the following skills or abilities:\nRead construction drawings and specifications and identify missing elements\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAttention to detail\nAnalyze technical information\nAnalyze market and trade trends\nUnderstand geotechnical reports\nCoordinate with stakeholders (developers, architects, subcontractors and HITT Operations) throughout design-assist process, including attendance at design meetings as a HITT representative during preconstruction phase services\nProvide oversight to Assistant Preconstruction Manager/Assistant Estimator\nMake and influence decisions under tight deadlines and sometimes with incomplete information\nExhibit business sense, forge partnerships with subcontractors, analyze risk\nDistribute documents without the support of an administrative assistant\nThe Preconstruction Manager should be proficient in the use of the following software:\nMicrosoft Office Suite, with high level of proficiency using Excel\nOn Screen Take-off (OST)\nAdobe products, including Bluebeam\nBuilding Connected, preferred, but not required\nThe Preconstruction Manager should demonstrate integrity consistent with company values\nIn accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:\n$110,000.00 - $159,500.00\nCompensation in other cities and states may vary. HITT Contracting offers a competitive total benefits and compensation package including performance-based bonuses, premium health care coverage including vision and dental, employer-matched 401(k), wellness reimbursement program, paid holidays and time-off, and other voluntary benefits and leave types.
