As part of the role, the lead will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers, architects and customer engineering teams in leading the development and implementation of firmware for AMD's Datacenter GPU Products.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nAs a firmware lead, you are passionate about firmware development and quality with an ability to solve problems at a system level. You are self-motivated and thrives in a collaborative and fast paced environment. You have excellent technical communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nLead Engineer responsible for designing, developing, debugging, verifying and/or validating firmware, software and/or hardware\nProvide consultation to internal and external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements\nCollaborate with tools and validation team to implement actual or emulation of end customer systems\nDefine system & platform level validation test plans\nLeading multi-disciplinary debug efforts\nSome examples of feature design & implementation that meets our customer needs:\nEnd to end Out Of Band Management, including Management Controllers, FPGAs and uCs\nRedfish\nOCP compliant and customer feature aligned secure solutions\n\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\n\nExperience with OpenBMC and/or SMC\nExperience with Out Of Band server management (BMC, Redfish, I2C, I3C, USB)\nProficiency with server systems, scripting (Linux and Windows OS, Hypervisors, scripting, python, c/c++)\nHands-on lab experience (protocol analyzer, oscilloscope)\nExcellent communication skills: verbal, written and interpersonal\nProven foundation in C programming\nStrong problem-solving skills\nExperience with computer architecture\nExperience with source control systems such as git or perforce\nIndustry experience developing firmware, software or device drivers\n\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\n\nBachelors or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering field.\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-EV1\n\n#LI-HYBRID\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
