About the Opportunity:The Cloud Engineer I is responsible for designing, deploying, and configuring cloud services to support migrations and secure application environments. This role delivers practical cloud and security architectures within an AWS environment, working closely with technical leaders and customers to resolve deployment issues and provide solutions. The position contributes to business outcomes by automating administrative tasks, managing containerized applications, and maintaining zero trust network principles. It requires collaboration across virtual teams and clear documentation to ensure smooth production system operations.3. Responsibilities:• Design, deploy, and configure cloud services for migrations, Active Directory, and zero trust applications• Implement and deploy security architectures for managed services• Plan deployments with technical leaders and customers• Troubleshoot and resolve customer deployment issues• Produce internal and customer-facing system documentation• Automate tasks using continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Rundeck• Manage routing and network basics in multi-cloud environments maintaining zero trust• Communicate effectively within teams and with customers focusing on solutions• Analyze, design, and implement AWS cloud architectures• Provide feedback on customer requirements to align with program goals• Develop and deploy Docker containerized applications• Manage and update system and security images with automation• Research and test new cloud technologies for program needs• Build strong relationships to minimize escalations• Self-manage work as part of a virtual team and promote positive communication• Document procedures and configuration changes for production systems4. Requirements:• Minimum 3 years experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, System Administrator, or similar role• Experience deploying systems and services in AWS environments• AWS Associate or higher certification, or ability to obtain within one month of start• Security+ certification or ability to obtain within one month of start• Experience with system metrics, root cause analysis, and proactive monitoring• Proficient in Linux and Windows system administration• Experience with Git repositories, including pull requests and multi-origin workflows• Skilled in AWS services including infrastructure as code using Ansible and Python CDK• Training or experience with Zero Trust architectures, including CompTIA Security+ knowledge• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 1+ year of experience5.
