Grow Your Career.\n\nWe are seeking fun, dependable, and high-energy individuals to join our team as part-time and/or full-time Host/Servers\n\nA server must demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and utilize skills to accommodate guest requests and provide each guest with an excellent dining experience. You must also assist in stocking, cleaning and other basic side work tasks while upholding FOH service standards. It is important to help maintain a safe and sanitary work environment. In addition, you must be able to interact with guests – remaining friendly and flexible—resulting in the best guest experience possible.\n\nKey Performance Elements/Essential Functions\n\nDemonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment\n\nOutgoing, friendly and courteous demeanor\n\nAttention to detail and ability to stay organized\n\nEffective communication skills in various situations\n\nAdheres to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies.\n\nAssists guests in selecting food and beverages by presenting menu; offering alcohol and other beverages; suggesting appetizers; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions\n\nIs able to address guests' special dietary needs and special requests\n\nServes orders by picking up and expediting to guests’ from sushi bar & kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments as needed\n\nMaintains table setting\n\nRemoving dishes as completed\n\nReplenishing utensils\n\nRefilling beverages\n\nConcludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, thanking guests and inviting them to return.\n\nDelivers bill in a timely manner and accurately processes payment, returning change or credit card and signature slip to guests\n\nInteracts with the staff and guests in a positive manner as to achieve our desired result of achieving 100% guest satisfaction.\n\nKnowledge of the menu in order to assist with guest inquiries/requests as well as be able to accurately identify food and beverage items\n\nAssisting in other essential FOH duties, including but not limited to:\n\nAnswering phones\n\nTaking to go orders and handling payments accurately\n\nAccepting reservations and managing them in order to prevent over booking of the restaurant\n\nAssisting hosts in greeting and seating of guests\n\nAssisting expos in delivering of food to guests\n\nAssisting Servers with pre-bussing, bussing and resetting of tables\n\nCompletes tasks for each shift according to the needs of the restaurant.\n\nRegular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established and or altered by Sushi King from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the restaurant. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with the Sushi King rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of our establishment. Employees who violate the Sushi King rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.\n\nEducation: Any combination of education and experience equivalent that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High school education is preferred.\n\nExperience: Minimum (1) year full service restaurant experience required.\n\nLicenses or Certificates: Ability to obtain any government required licenses or certificates. For example: Local health department certification and ABC control board certificate.
