Description And FunctionsOpen Until FilledGeneral DescriptionThis position performs journey-level duties in multiple skilled trades affecting state-owned and leased facilities. The role serves on work teams responsible for building, maintaining, and renovating facilities by applying knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and electrical systems to ensure a safe and healthy environment for state employees and visitors.Responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of HVAC systems and related equipment. The position installs environmental control units and facility support systems for new construction, upgrades, and replacement projects. Duties also include specifying and designing plumbing and electrical support infrastructure, including expanded utility services and electronic or digital control systems.Additional responsibilities include regulating and tracking the use of ozone-depleting substances in compliance with United States Environmental Protection Agency regulations and evaluating the feasibility of converting systems to environmentally responsible refrigerants and energy-efficient alternatives.Working for the State of Wyoming offers more than a paycheck.
