This HYBRID freelance role will be 40 hours a week for 4-6 months, and focuses on creating consistent, scalable packaging solutions that improve store execution, customer experience, and cost efficiency.\r\nPackaging Designer Responsibilities\r\nDefine standard PDQ/Shipper sizes and shapes by product category\r\nCreate detailed packaging specs (size, weight, material requirements)\r\nBuild a PDQ/Shipper library by category\r\nCross reference sizes across categories to drive efficiencies and volume pricing\r\nUse existing samples for accurate measurements\r\nRecommend box size adjustments to improve efficiency (e.g., string lights, pathway, ornaments)\r\nDesign and optimize PDQ/Shippers for new and existing products\r\nCreate dielines, drawings, prototypes, and technical specs\r\nApply brand graphic standards to each product category\r\nIdentify cost saving opportunities\r\nPartner cross functionally with Brand Packaging, QC, Sourcing, and Buying\r\nEnsure packaging meets quality, durability, and transit testing requirements\r\nPackaging Designer Requirements\r\n5+ years of experience in Packaging Engineering or Design, ideally in retail\r\nStrong knowledge of corrugate, folding cartons, and labeling systems\r\nProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)\r\nIn this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
