Probate Paralegal

Job Description We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. As a Probate Paralegal, you'll oversee cases from filing through closing, track deadlines, draft documents, and make sure clients feel informed and supported throughout the process. Your expertise and proactive approach will help clients, support our attorneys, and keep our practice running smoothly.Our firm is a collaborative, team-oriented estate planning and probate practice in North Central San Antonio. You'll have the support and systems you need to manage your cases efficiently, while working alongside attorneys and staff who are committed to excellence and client service.Compensation:$23 - $30 hourlyResponsibilities:Case Management & Ownership (60%)Manage probate matters from filing through closing, ensuring accuracy and timelinessDraft applications, deeds, e-file Affidavits, and related documentsTrack deadlines, hearings, and filings proactivelyPrepare documents for court submission and maintain compliance with local legal filing proceduresCommunicate directly with clients while keeping attorneys informedEnsure cases are closed completely and efficientlyCoordination & Administrative Support (40%)Maintain organized electronic and physical case filesDraft correspondence and prepare documents for signature and distributionWitness/notarize documents and manage certified mailAssist attorneys with probate-related needs while maintaining attention to detailQualifications:RequiredBachelor's degreeStrong organization, communication, and time-management skillsComfortable using legal and case management software; quick to learn new technology.Preferred3+ years paralegal experience, providing substantive case support (not just administrative tasks).Paralegal certificate (ABA-approved or equivalent).TBLS Board Certified Paralegals in Estate Planning and ProbateExperience in estate planning, probate, drafting Trusts/WillsFamiliarity with Westlaw, CLIO, or similar platformsActive notary status a plus.About CompanyJoin one of San Antonio's Best Places to Work and Fastest Growing Companies!Weisinger Law Firm strives to be the primary provider of Legal Services for Bexar County in Estate Planning and Probate.
