This position provides coverage across multiple locations, including family medicine clinics in the Ontario and Payette areas, as well as our Patient Service Center in Ontario. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of settings and adapting to the needs of each location. Some travel is required, so a valid driver's license is necessary.\n\nWe're looking for someone who brings a positive, can-do attitude every day, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service to both patients and clinical staff. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential.\n\nPay: Starting at $18/hour, commensurate with experience\n\nSchedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (hours can vary with coverage needs)\nBenefits:\nMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\nPaid Time Off\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\nIn this role, you will be responsible for:\nAdministrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.\nTechnical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.\nAccurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.\nSpecimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.\nCompliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.\nFlexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.\nEducation & Certification:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\nExperience:\nMinimum of 1 year of on-the-job phlebotomy experience\nReliability and flexibility with schedule\nConsistent employment history with minimal career gaps\nLicensing & Driving Requirements:\nValid, unrestricted driver's license\nClean driving record\nSkills & Competencies:\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members\nHigh attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently\nPhysical Requirements:\nLaboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.\nHigh level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.\nRegular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).\nAbility to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.\nFrequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.\nFlexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.\nOSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.\n\nAbout Us: Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
