{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a4f1109e45563d00a8c77623","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a4f1109e45563d00a8c77623","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a4f1109e45563d00a8c77623","title":"Electro-Mechanical Engineer","description":"Here are the job position details for your review:\nJob Title: Sr. Electro-Mechanical Engineer\nPay Rate: $70 to $85/HR\nDuration: 12 months\nLocation: Newton, MA\nShift: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM\nNote: Fixtures designing is the key in an aerospace or medical device industry for this role.\nWe are currently looking for an Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the Endovascular Robotics medical device division, which is the first FDA-cleared medical device to bring robotic-assisted precision to neurovascular, percutaneous coronary, and peripheral interventions.\nThe Senior ElectroMechanical Engineer will be a part of the R&D organization and an important contributor to the realization of the next-generation robotic platform that will change the future of healthcare.\nYou will be a highly visible technical resource working on the development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies.\nThere will be direct involvement from prototype to verification builds and testing within a regulated medical device development environment.\nThis role is suited for an R&D engineer with experience in developing electromechanical fixtures, authoring documentation, establishing verification tests, and assisting with electromechanical issue resolution.\nSupport identification of, specification creation for, development, and characterization of manufacturing in-line test and build fixtures\nIdentify improvement points in the electromechanical assembly build process\nDevelop electromechanical fixtures to support the development of complex medical robotics system\nAssist in specifying firmware and software development requirements for fixtures\nAuthor relevant documents related to fixture designs and development process improvements\nQualifications:\nStrong Experience in complex electromechanical system R&D environment\nBachelor’s and/or Masters degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or a close field is required\nExperience in heavily regulated industries such as medical device or aerospace is required\nMust have hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems\nKnowledge of industry best practices for the development of complex electromechanical systems\nFamiliarity with ASME V&V (Verification & Validation) 40 a plus\nPrevious experience in design transfer/new product introduction desired\nDemonstrated CAD proficiency highly desired.
