Typical projects involve responsive, data science-driven tool and application development, and software configuration planning.\n\nYou will manage technical aspects of customer implementation, ensuring contract requirements are met, keeping the technical project team aligned on scope and timelines, communicating complex customer use-cases, and pivoting as the project direction evolves ensuring customer expectations are met. You’ll grow to become an expert in our data and software, and through working in collaboration with the delivery team will identify ways in which to match our capabilities to customer needs.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nResponsible for planning and overseeing technical projects across functions and product divisions to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion, within scope and within budget.\nLead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation.\nEstablish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes. Report and escalate to management as needed.\nDevelop and maintain thorough and streamlined project documentation that encapsulates the decision-making process and clearly communicates expectations to the technical team.\nHelp clients to reach their goals through implementation, configuration, and support for all of the Dimensions tools and services to which they subscribe.\nSupport our customers with the responsible use of data and information to make important decisions (e.g. what to fund).\nMeasure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.\nPerform risk management to minimize project risks.\nWhen needed, execute tasks on behalf of other team members.\nCoordinate internal and external resources to ensure high-quality delivery of projects on time and within budget.\nYou will be helping leaders of science funding organizations use tools and analyze data to make key decisions about scientific research funding, portfolio management, and evaluation.\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the role\n\nYou will bring with you an understanding of the Science & Technology ecosystem (funders, research organizations, scientific publishing, etc) including an understanding of scientific research funding and interest in bibliometrics, scientometrics, research assessment, and science policy.\nYou will be comfortable working independently and remotely, and in a fast-paced highly collaborative team environment.\nYou will have experience in managing technical teams delivering on complex projects that evolve over time.\nYou will have flexibility to work across several time zones, previous experience of working globally, and across multiple teams.\n5+ years project management experience in an IT/software related field delivering configured COTS products.\nFlexibility to adjust project scope in response to changing customer priorities and ability to tolerate ambiguity in requirements.\nProven success working with all levels of management.\nSuperior written and verbal communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.\nStrong attention to scope, deadlines and budgetary guidelines.\nComfortable managing multiple tasks and outstanding in creating priorities.\nDistinct problem-solving aptitude.\nSolid organizational skills including attention to detail.\nStrong team player with outstanding interpersonal skills.\nUnflappable manner when working to tight deadlines.\nYou will be a strong communicator and listener, and be able to follow complex discussions and instructions.\nYou’ll be knowledgeable about research data (publications, grants, patents) including common matters such as author and institutional disambiguation, classification, linkages.\nAdditional Information\n\nCurrent US Public Trust clearance preferred, as applicants will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information.\n\nNot sure you meet all qualifications?
