This leadership position is responsible for ensuring high performance, safety, and efficiency across all trailer operations. The Supervisor leads, mentors, and develops a team of 2-3 trailer service drivers. This position operates out of Tidy’s Salem branch and is responsible for the success of sanitation operations serving the greater Roanoke–Salem region.\nThis is a key operational management role requiring strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to coordinate people, vehicles, and equipment to ensure Tidy’s promise of High Standards, Clean Results is met every day.\nEssential Responsibilities\nOperational Oversight\nOversee daily operations for all trailer service sanitation routes.\nCoordinate with Dispatch and Fleet teams to ensure route efficiency, equipment availability, and timely service completion.\nMonitor and report on daily and weekly performance metrics, including service completion %, QCC compliance, and route efficiency.\nSupport continuous improvement by identifying process bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve quality and efficiency.\nLeadership & People Development\nLead, train, and coach team members to meet and exceed company standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.\nConduct ride-alongs and on-site inspections to reinforce quality, safety, and customer service expectations.\nHold regular team and safety meetings, communicating company updates and initiatives.\nBuild a culture of accountability, teamwork, and recognition through consistent coaching and feedback.\nSafety & Compliance\nMaintain strict adherence to DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements.\nConduct and document safety meetings, inspections, and incident investigations.\nPromote a Safety First culture and enforce all safety procedures, including PPE and vehicle inspections.\nContinuous Improvement & Reporting\nAnalyze operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement in routing, scheduling, and productivity.\nCollaborate with the General Manager and Fleet Manager to reduce downtime, manage equipment repairs, and increase service efficiency.\nPrepare and review operational reports, route analyses, and team performance reviews.\nLead initiatives that improve employee retention, training outcomes, and overall service quality.\nWork Environment\nWork is primarily performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may involve exposure to loud noise, uneven terrain, or debris. Appropriate PPE and training are provided for all conditions.
