Route Sales Representative

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking experienced, aggressive, self-starters for its Route Sales team.This is a full-time position that is responsible for selling and merchandising Schwebel’s complete line of quality products to existing and new accounts while driving a Schwebel’s bread truck.Responsibilities:Sell, deliver, stock and merchandise Schwebel brand products to grocery stores, restaurants, schools, and food retailersProvide excellent customer service while building relationshipsResponsible for early morning delivery of the productsSolicit new customers to grow businessCommunicate product knowledge and suggestive sellResponsible for ordering bread productsConduct daily pre and post-trip inspectionsMaintain a clean and organized truckCommitted to working safelyRequirements:Prior route sales experience preferredMust be 21 years of age or older for insurance purposesPossess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to secure a DOT physicalMust have a safe driving recordMust provide a high level of customer servicePrevious wholesale commercial bread sales experience a plusMust be handheld computer literateMust be able to adapt quickly to different working and driving conditionsPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift 50lbsConstantly reaching; frequently sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and drivingOccasionally pushing and or pulling up to 300lbsRoute Sales Representative’s hours of work vary by assigned route.
