SCD - Substation Control Designer 1, 2, 3, or SR

Experience with Substation Design work• AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical experience• Familiar with Southern Company Tools and the Autodesk toolset• Familiar with Substation layouts• Familiar with Relay Panel assemblies• Understanding of how to read design prints• Able to compare project drawings to the Southern Company Standard• Effective communication skills and able to provide detailed reports• Ability to travel throughout the Southern Company footprint to perform project reviews• Self-motivated and able to take tasks and complete them with little oversight• Will be required to visit substations as needed• Alternate work location could be Forest Park, but Birmingham is strongly preferredSchedule will be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 in office or on job site.
