This role combines hands-on field experience with classroom or formal training to develop the skills required to advance within the electrical trade. Initial responsibilities will focus on basic labor and support tasks, progressing to more technical electrical work as experience and competency increase. Apprentices may be required to register with the state or obtain applicable licensing as required.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nAssist licensed electricians and follow instructions to safely complete assigned tasks.\nPrepare, maintain, and clean work areas and job sites.\nTransport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas.\nAssist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, conduit, devices, and equipment.\nUse hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to perform conduit installation and basic electrical work under supervision.\nLearn and follow applicable safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.\nAssist with trenching, digging, and other labor tasks as required.\nIdentify electrical components, materials, and equipment.\nFollow all safety codes, building regulations, and company policies.\nPerform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or lead electricians.\n\nQualifications and Education Requirements\n\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nCompletion of, or enrollment in, an electrical apprenticeship or training program preferred.\nValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.\nAbility to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.\nBasic understanding of electrical principles and systems.\nAbility to use or learn electronic testing equipment and basic electrical tools.\nFamiliarity with or willingness to learn NEC, OSHA, and applicable industry standards.\nAbility to learn electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.\nStrong willingness to learn and develop electrical skills.\nBasic troubleshooting aptitude and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently when directed or collaboratively as part of a team.\nEffective communication and organizational skills.\nWillingness to work in remote locations and adapt to changing job site conditions.\nAbility to work rotating shifts, extended hours, or be on-call as required.\n\nWork Environment\n\nThis position is primarily field-based and involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.\nWork hours may vary depending on project demands and operational requirements.\nThis is a full-time position.\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:\n\nFrequent standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and manual handling of tools and materials.\nAbility to climb ladders and work at elevated heights.\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.\nAbility to work in confined spaces and industrial environments.\n\nTravel\n\nDaily travel to job sites is expected.\n\nThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties, responsibilities, or qualifications.
