Restaurant Senior AccountantPosition OverviewThe Senior Accountant supports the financial reporting and accounting operations of a multi-unit restaurant organization. This role is responsible for overseeing month-end close, ensuring accuracy of financial statements, supporting internal controls, and providing financial insights to operations leadership.The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and review journal entries and account reconciliationsEnsure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAPAnalyze food, labor, and operating expenses; identify variancesOversee fixed assets, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport budgeting and forecasting processesAssist with audits and ensure compliance with internal controlsPartner with operations leadership to provide financial insightsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required3–5+ years of progressive accounting experienceRestaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-unit experience preferredStrong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experienceAdvanced Excel skills and accounting software proficiencyStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
