{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"a4cf5734418029a534babbf5","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a4cf5734418029a534babbf5","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/a4cf5734418029a534babbf5","title":"Process Controls Engineer","description":"Job Description\nAs a member of the Engineering team, the Process Controls Engineer will be responsible to lead and support controls, automation, and implementation of projects from the prototype into the production phase.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDesign, develop, and streamline various aspects of electrical controls systems, general electrical circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and machinery in the plant with use of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electric, HMI Software/Design, and/or E-Plan.\n\nProvide direction and be able to execute the programming, installation of, and technical troubleshooting support of PLC ladder-logic based hardware and software applications throughout the plant.\n\nProvide controls and systems engineering support for emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production peak and off-peak run times as needed.\n\nAble to work with cross functional groups, as well as work effectively with Plant Engineers and Maintenance Supervisors to complete projects on time and within schedule.\n\nAble to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, machinery assembly drawings, create component hardware BOMs, and determine additional system/hardware components for the design of electrical control systems and circuitry diagrams to perform required maintenance and service.\n\nAble to diagnose process and machinery problems utilizing root cause failure analysis techniques, replace or repair equipment parts, test and adjust as required.\n\nAssist with and provide guidance for compliance with plant safety regulations such as Arch Flash Electrical Safety – NFPA‑70E; LOTO, Energized Work Permits, Safe Cell Entry.\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience and working knowledge of CNC/FANUC machines.\n\n3–5+ years of Electrical Controls/System Engineering industry experience.\n\nStrong skills in ladder logic, preferably Allen‑Bradley Systems; PLC5, SLC and ControlLogix 5000‑5580.\n\nStrong skills in HMI Design.\n\nFamiliarity with Ethernet/IP and basic networking applications and practices.\n\nWorking knowledge and understanding of plant power distribution equipment and controls.\n\nExperience and working knowledge of robot teach points and programming code understanding.\n\nBachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nLear Corporation is committed to fair, merit‑based employment practices and equal opportunity.\n\nWe provide reasonable accommodations in accordance with applicable law.
