Customer Service Representative Gastonia, NC 28056Duration: 12+ Months ContractPay Rate: $20 per hour on W2We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to join a fast-paced Customer Care team supporting residential and commercial utility customers. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by handling billing inquiries, payment arrangements, service requests, account concerns, and emergency-related calls while ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities: Respond to inbound customer calls professionally and efficientlyBuild trust with customers by providing timely resolutions and excellent serviceAssist customers with billing inquiries, payment plans, service notices, and account-related concernsHandle difficult customer interactions and effectively de-escalate escalated situationsSupport customers experiencing credit or payment difficulties and provide appropriate referrals when neededMaintain accurate documentation and follow established processes and proceduresUtilize Customer Information Systems and Microsoft Office tools dailyMeet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goalsCollaborate effectively with internal teams and departmentsSupport emergency-related customer situations as requiredRequired Qualifications: Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent customer service, negotiation, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computer systemsStrong multitasking and time management skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFlexibility to work varying shifts, nights, weekends, and emergency schedulesAbility to successfully complete a background check and drug screeningPreferred Qualifications: 3+ years of customer service or customer contact experienceExperience handling billing, payment arrangements, or account managementWork Environment: Office-based environmentTraining schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMFirst 6 months onsite full-timePotential remote work opportunity after 6 months based on performance and business needsIf you are passionate about customer service and enjoy helping customers navigate challenging situations, we encourage you to apply.About Us:Founded in 2009, IntelliPro is a global leader in talent acquisition and HR solutions.
