This position is located in Kettering, OH.\nJob Responsibilities/Duties:\nSource code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.\nDevelops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.\nPlans, conducts, and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects.\nConducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity. Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.\nReviews the completion and implementation of technical products.\nDetermines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.\nDemonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments.\nDetermines and designs system specifications, standards, and programming/coding, and installs solutions.\nImproves operations by conducting systems and process analysis, plus recommending changes in policies and procedures.\nAdvises (licensed) software procurements by researching, analyzing, comparing, and documenting results of vendors and products, which may include installation, configuration, and testing (of products).\nProvides information and recommendations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service-related issues.\nAccomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.\nDevelops software solutions by studying requirements/user stories, user/system/data needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following an Agile software development lifecycle.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Experience:\n(MA/MS) Degree from an in a related technical discipline and 8 years of experience, OR,\nBA/BS Degree in a related technical discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, OR,\n16 years of directly related technical software development experience with proper certification.\nMust possess knowledge and experience with any of the following technologies and development tools:\nAgile principles, methodologies, and enabling technologies, e.g., Kanban, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, CheckMarx, SonarQube, Zephyr.\nCloud platforms, e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI.\nGeneral cloud technologies, e.g., elasticity, scalability, IaC, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, on-demand instantiation, containers, Kubernetes, serverless/Lambda.\nMust have CompTIA Security+ Certification.\nMust be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.\nMust be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
