We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.\nReporting to the Superintendent and working in an exciting and challenging role within our department, you will be:\nMonitor equipment such as furnaces, kilns, dryers, and adjacent equipment under the direction of a Level B Operator.\nCommunicate effectively and correctly log information related to production and/or packaging.\nAssist Level C & B Operators in their duties to monitor, troubleshoot, and respond to fusing plant conditions under the direction of a Level B Operator.\nAssist Level C & B Operators in their duties to monitor process flow to work with dry chemicals (Borates), liquids (molten glass, water), and steam in a safe manner.\nOperate manual valves, use basic tools in a safe manner and perform cleanup as required.\nAbility to learn, operate and monitor single pieces of equipment and understand the functions and operating parameters including the hazards associated with the equipment.\nAbility to communicate work needed from maintenance and instrumentation/electrical to the Level B Operator.\nMust have valid driver’s license, operate forklift, bobcat, and be able to lift 60 lbs. bags.\nAble to learn Fireman duties, assist the Chief Operator\nWhat you’ll bring\nTo be successfully considered for this role, you will have:\nA commitment to the safety of yourself and your team\nHigh School diploma or GED, computer literate (maintain spreadsheets and logs, locate policies and procedures, print forms) and be able to read, write and perform basic math.\nMust have current and valid state civil driver’s license.\nRequired experience in equipment operation including furnace, kiln, dryer, and/or similar equipment and systems.\nOperation of pumps, screens, belt conveyors, elevators, mills, screw conveyors, dust collectors, and furnaces.\nUse of basic tools used to perform minor maintenance and plant cleanup.\nPreferred experience with forklifts, vacuum truck, jackhammer, sweeper, instrumentation equipment, sampling equipment, bobcat, mobile lift equipment, and pickup trucks.\nWhat we offer\nWe are committed to providing our employees with what they deserved.
