This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically inclined, hands-on, detail oriented individual to learn varied skills and contribute to our growing organization.\n\nIn this role the selected candidate will be trained to program, setup, and operate various shop equipment to produce precision parts and assemblies in short-run quantities. This work will require an innate talent for problem solving and technical skills in CAD. Candidate should be highly motived to learn the skills outlined below.\n\nResponsibilities include completing in-house training to operate the following shop equipment\n\nHigh-pressure waterjet\nPlastic Prototyping Equipment: SLA, FDM & Polyjet\nSheet metal forming and hardware insertion\nOther power fabrication equipment\nFinishing & painting of prototypes\nCNC Press brake\nLathe\nCNC Mill\nAssist other members of the Prototype Shop staff with additional tasks:\nAssembly of test units\nConstruction and assembly of test fixtures\nRework of existing parts\nPerform routine maintenance on equipment per department procedures\nAdditional Training\nReading of Technical Prints\nUse of Calipers\nLearning of CAD Software: Creo\nQualification\n\nEducation: College, Technical School or High School\n1-2 years experience\nHigh mechanical aptitude needed to visualize 3D designs\nLogical and Creative problem-solving skills\nAbility to quickly learn new technical skills including software applications and equipment\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment\nDetail oriented, working to tight tolerances\nAbility to work with minimal supervision\nBe able to lift 40lbs.\nQualifications below are an additional benefit:\nExperience with equipment listed in responsibilities section\nAbility to read and understand technical prints\nAbility to program in a CAD system to run shop equipment\nHVLP/Air Brush Painting skills\nCAD experience: Creo aka Pro Engineer (ProE) or Solidworks\nBasic soldering skills and/or simple understanding of wiring\nWood Working (Table Saw, Chop Saw, Router)\nSpot Welding\nCrestron Electronics offers a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, 401K with company match, Paid Time Off, Holidays, On-site Amenities at NJ Headquarters & TX Facilities, Crestron Market Cafes, and Fitness Centers.\n\nAt Crestron Electronics, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion drive innovation.
