The right person can transform ambitious ideas into memorable, well-executed experiences for creators, backers, partners, and cultural communities.\nThis role combines creative thinking with exceptional experiential operational discipline. The Event Marketer will help shape the experience, identify what will make it distinctive, and manage the many details required to bring it to life—on time, within budget, and at a consistently high standard.\nThe right person is highly collaborative, deeply organized, resourceful with budgets, and connected to a strong network of vendors and production partners. They understand that great events are not simply gatherings; they are strategic expressions of the Kickstarter brand and opportunities to deepen relationships, create cultural relevance, and drive measurable outcomes.\nThe salary for this role in the United States is $120,000.\nIn this role, you will:\nPlan and execute Kickstarter’s portfolio of brand, creator, category, industry, and community events.\nTranslate strategic and creative concepts into clear event plans, production timelines, budgets, and onsite experiences.\nCollaborate with Brand, Communications, Outreach, Growth, Editorial & Content, and other teams to define each event’s audience, purpose, creative direction, and measures of success.\nDevelop event formats and experiences that feel distinctive to Kickstarter and meaningful to the communities we serve.\nOwn end-to-end event operations, including venues, vendors, production, staffing, travel, run-of-show, guest experience, risk planning, and onsite execution.\nSource, negotiate with, and manage agencies, fabricators, production teams, venues, caterers, and other event partners.\nBuild and maintain a strong, diverse network of trusted vendors and cultural partners across key markets.\nManage event budgets with discipline and creativity, finding ways to maximize impact without compromising the quality of the experience.\nEstablish repeatable planning tools, processes, and standards that enable the team to execute efficiently across multiple events.\nAnticipate challenges, make thoughtful decisions under pressure, and keep collaborators aligned throughout the planning process.\nPartner with Communications and across Marketing to extend the impact of events through content, media, social amplification, and post-event engagement.\nEvaluate event performance and apply insights to improve future programming and investment decisions.\nAbout You\nExperience producing brand, cultural, community, industry, or experiential events from concept through completion.\nA strong creative instinct and the practical ability to turn an idea into a compelling physical or virtual experience.\nExceptional project management, organizational, and budget-management skills.\nEstablished relationships with high-quality vendors, venues, production partners, and event specialists.\nConfidence managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines without losing sight of the guest experience or strategic objective.\nStrong negotiation skills and a reputation for being resourceful and responsible with budgets.\nA calm, solutions-oriented approach to the inevitable changes and challenges of live and virtual events.\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nAn understanding of how events can support brand building, community development, relationship management, and business growth.\nEnthusiasm for Kickstarter’s mission and the creative communities we serve.\nWhat You'll Enjoy\nA fully remote workforce with plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues\n100% employer-paid health plan offerings\n16 paid vacation days, 10 sick days, paid holidays, and a company-wide winter break between Christmas and New Years\n25 volunteer hours each year to give back to your community\n18 weeks of parental leave for the primary caregiver; 16 weeks of parental leave for the secondary caregiver, plus fertility/family planning resources\n401k with 3% safe harbor contribution\nAnnual stipends including a Remote Working & Wellness Stipend of $3,000 USD (prorated) each calendar year for expenses related to remote working, wellness, health, and fitness and a $500 Role Development Stipend\nKickstarter currently operates with a 4-day workweek, a model that aligns with our belief in a healthy work-life balance and gives staff the space to be more than their work\nIncredibly talented and inspiring colleagues who know how to blend their creative endeavors into their work\nYou can read more about our benefits and working at Kickstarter at our Jobs page: https://jobs.kickstarter.com/\nOur Fully Virtual Team\nWe’re currently able to support employees based in the following US locations: CA, CO, CT, GA, IL, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, OR, SC, VA, VT, and WA.
