Must attend all scheduled shifts during the 60 days.The main function of the Little America Hotel Room Attendant is to prepare an assigned room for occupancy in a manner consistent with the standards of the Little America Hotels.Responsibilities:Remove used linens from bed and replace with fresh and place used linens into laundry bag, making sure not to make the bag too heavy (not more than 45 pounds)While wearing rubber gloves and using a variety of cleansers and tools (broom, mop, toilet scrub-brush, etc.), clean bathrooms, including: sinks, mirrors, floors, toilets, and tubsPlace used towels and bath mats into laundry bagClean floors in rooms and halls using a vacuum cleanerWith dust-cloth or feather duster, clean furniture, lamps and fixtures and with dust-cloth and cleaner/furniture was, clean wooden surfaces of TV, tables, end tables, head boards, etc.Stock room with amenities and supplies (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, matches, etc) taken from housekeeping cartEmpty trash cans and replace plastic trash bags if neededTake trash and linen bags from roomStock Housekeeping carts with linens, towels, amenities and other items needed to fully prepare the room for the next guestOther duties as assignedPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to ascend or descend rung ladders, scaffolding, and the like safely and with agility, to work safely in elevated places and to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling from precarious situations.Ability to move body to floor level and move aboutAbility to extend arm(s) in any directionAbility to support oneself in an erect and/or completely upright position for a prolonged period of timeAbility to substantially press against something with a steady force in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward, and to exert a considerable force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motionAbility to raise substantial objects from a lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position to positionAbility to perceive the presence of certain substances, in various states, through the sense of smellQualifications:Must be available to work at least one weekend day per week.Sunday Availability is preferredEqual Opportunity Employer
