Fleet Technician

Diesel TechnicianGroendyke Transport is hiring a Diesel Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of truck-tractors and cargo tank trailers. In this role, you will diagnose mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and complete repairs that keep our equipment safe, reliable, and operating efficiently. This hands-on position is ideal for someone with strong heavy-truck experience who takes pride in quality work and values safety in a professional shop environment.ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, powertrain components, and trailer systemsPerform preventive maintenance on truck-tractors and cargo tank semi-trailersTroubleshoot electrical systems, ABS, and electronic engine componentsRepair or replace components using hand tools and power toolsPerform brake service, tire service, and FHWA inspectionsConduct HM-183 inspections (if qualified)Complete welding repairs as neededMaintain accurate service and maintenance recordsProvide guidance to less experienced technicians when neededFollow all shop safety procedures, including cargo tank entry requirementsWork assigned shifts, including days, nights, or weekends as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentValid driver's licenseFive years of heavy truck or diesel maintenance experience preferredMust possess your own hand toolsAbility to use computer systems for maintenance documentationMust pass a pre-employment physicalGroendyke Transport offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and additional benefits designed to support you and your family.
